Looks like it may have been driven through salt water or something like that with all the rust on the suspension part, could well be wrong but hope you get it all sorted out quickly.

Cannot help you with the brake or suspension problems a rebuild kit could bring back the calipers like new again.

my bleed nipple and metal pipe to calliper were also badly corroded, so changing it for the mot was essential.
I just chopped the old metal pipe off, took the calliper to the workshop and used some stillsons to get the bleed nipp0le out as it was rounded anyway.
I made a new pipe and got some bleed nipples from ebay:-

these have bigger heads than the old ones making getting them off again much easier!
my vitara seem to be more rustier on the rhs for some reason, I also only recently chucked out the old suspension inc both front 'A' arms.
good luck.

That's a common uk phenomenon, some previous owner will have kept it on the side of a busy road, in the winter the road will have been gritted and passing traffic will have thrown it up the rhs of your truck causing it to corrode more, well that's what it usually is!

See a lot of motors rusted at one end badly like that, used for launching and brining boats out of the water

fortunately this ones only bad at front rears not bad at all aside from the usual rear seatbelt mounts! which im doing at the moment, know a diver who had a fourtrak that practically didn't have a floor in the back! growing up in the islands I know rust intimately! check my old series  hopefully once I get it sorted it will last me a good while had a bit of a run of bad luck with motors

I could dig through and see what I've got if you'd like?
that would be cool if you have anything fire us a PM cheers 8-)
