If I had one ad probably put a ignis or seedy sooty engine in it straight swap..

I think the Gypsy uses the G13BB engine from the old Jimny although they were supposed to be axing it for a Maruti built diesel to meet Euro 5. Next month is the introduction of Euro 6 in the EU (yes I'm kin busy), Euro 4 is long gone.twiss wrote:Unfortunately with the engines they build gypsies with Im pretty sure they won't meet current emissions standards.
I was looking at a lot into the Gypsy Escapade... they are putting a nice new Euro IV emissions compatible engine in it, despite the fact that over here they will be introducing Euro V next september, which it probably won't meet!
Unfortunately they don't seem to put the jimny engine in, which would have been the best idea imho!
As for vehicle type approval.... not sure what they would say about that!
There is no chance of type approving a Samurai, the Jimny is only here because as an existing model it doesn't have to meet the latest requirements.
