i dont know, if i had a near mint 18K mile 27 year old SJ i would want a similar sort of price range, seeing what shit people sell for the £1200 mark, and by people i mean me, a car of this condition should be worth no less than 4K easily.

The main problem with cars like this is that if its only done 20k from new (740 miles a year) you could pick it up and drive it about and the engine could go pop... going from lack of use to regular use
I know of a few cars this has happened to... including a low mileage swift with a g13 engine in it.

Vehicle had done 23k since 91 (I think). Engine looked like a minter. After 6 months of normal driving it was shot.

Now you may say that if you had a mint condition one you wouldn't drive it all the time, but if I paid £5k for an SJ I would be wanting to drive it!!!
