Well I have been thinking a bit more. Semi decided that doing a half arse job on a lift is probably not a good idea. My front leafs are pretty much unusable anyway since they are inverted and the shocks are stuffed aswell.

I am wanting to do the rear disk break conversion so I am trying to find a spare front diff and hopefully leafs and shocks also. Hoping someone has for a hilux diff swap around here.

Then I can just keep the Zuk at standard height and will be trimming guards anyway due to rust.

What size tyres can I go up to without losing what little power the 1ltr has? Also if I go too big will it damage axles etc? I think I have the transfer box everyone seems to want but I am unsure how do I tell. It has the hand break drum break on it

I ran 31's on my 410 with standard axles etc, but i did drop a 1.6 in for that extra grunt. But the axles etc held up just fine, advantage of 410 axles is they have smaller diffs so better ground clearance. If it hasnt been changed you will have a 410 transfer box, which is the one people with 413's put in.

It is defiantly all standard even the bearings and seals were original or genuine replacements. Fixed them all apart for one wheel bearing I am waiting on.

Hopefully I can find a front diff. Is there many differences in the 413? If I get one of those can I use the cvs as spare? Or is only the suspension and breaks useful?

:welcome: to :suzuki: club UK

Looking forward to the build!

The 413 (not samurai) shafts and CVs fit the 410 axles but the diffs don't, have a read of the axle info thread in the transmission section and it tells you all the differences and what parts can be swapped between axles etc.

Fully stripped back and painted the chassis tonight. Got 2 coats on apart from the area yet to be welded. Looks so nice and shiney.

Got the handbrake on transfer apart and cleaned the transfer, have rebuilt front diff just need to rebuild calipers and put wheels on.

While cleaning hubs unfortunately found one completely stuffed. Broken springs inside

If you are cutting the arches anyway due to rust then do a Virtual lift. By far the best way to fit bigger tyres without raising the center of gravity.

There is a little guide I wrote here.

Will allow you to squeeze 31s on at standard height.
