GV goes I to the garage today for its new O2 sensors...

Another idea I've read about is to add a boost gauge, to monitor the vacuum of the inlet manifold which can be used to diagnose a fair few possible problem, allows me to keep an eye of the vacuum and mainly make sure that there are no vacuum leaks...

What do people think of this? I'm just waiting on some more green hose to finish plumbing in the catch can...

Liking the green hose. Don't know why.

Thanks haha..

I'm planning on getting a green 45 degree bend to replace the top rad hose, got some more silicone hose to replace other hoses, I've replaced some of the vacuum hoses with green silicone hose as well just to be sure there were no splits, one of them was brittle though and snapped when I tried to remove it, so that's now got some fresh hose in place of it...

Just drive it  there really is no need to add pointless things like boost gauges, waste of time and money.

You would need a vacuum gauge rather than a boost gauge, you will never see boost on a N/A engine. If you want to monitor engine performance then these work very well:

The boost gauges I've liked at have vacuum on them as well, I have looked at a obd2 monitor that shows things like throttle position, mpg, EGR valve position etc and it can be set to change every 5 seconds or so to tell you different things that the engine is doing while driving along

I like the look of this one but a bit expensive I think haha..

I might get one of these ones though..

Scangauge is OK but I prefer to have the analogue representation of the gauges. There is also Turbogauge which is much cheaper:

Looks the same as the scangauge2, it's shows fault codes as well as being able to clear them, shows absolutely everything going on in the engine, and it's only a small device so should be easy to find a place to mount in the dash somewhere, definitely going to invest in one when I've got the spare money, just hoping that the engine is back to the way it should be tomorrow, otherwise I'll have to start stripping an cleaning out the EGR, inlet manifold and possibly the exhaust manifold, that's all I can think of now that could be causing the problems

I did find this one but there isn't a lot of information about it really...

That doesn't include the tablet, its really just a Bluetooth adapter and some software. You can get ELM 327 Bluetooth adapters for around £5 and run Torque Pro on an Android tablet or phone.

I have found a app on the iTunes store that just requires a bluetooth obd2 plug, think I might give that a go as it'll probably cost a total of a tenner instead of £100+

Will post on here how it goes if anyone's interested, would be more for those with vits/ GV's and jimnys I think..
