Sorry havnt been on much been away with work still got the problem with the noise after talking to the father in law ( who I got the cut off) he said it's the transfer box and it's always been the same since he's had it

Will this turn into somthing bigger ? What happens if the transfer box goes? And is there anything I cN do to try and fix it ?

hoping I don't need to change it but how much u looking for it? Is there anything I can try to sort it before swapping it
