Heard back from Mastercovers. They would be glad to make me a cover for the LJ80 - 380 pounds plus VAT, plus shipping. A bit rich for my blood - I can do better than that in Italy and in Germany too. Thanks to all.

There are two in Germany that make replacement soft tops. ( http://www.bony-soft-tops.com ) They charge €695
The second is ( http://www.verdeckshop.de ) They charge €609
Of the two the second has a better reputation for service although the quality is supposed to be good at both.
If anyone wants some help with the language just let me know.
