Re: Scottie's Zuke
lookin good mate. Ive got a huge list/heap of parts i need to get sorted on mine.
Will be back on the case very soon as i should be taking my mini for its m.o.t next week. Ive got a few little bits left on that then im selling it to raise sj funds.
My mot runs out next month so steering and brakes and fuel tank r defo top of the list. Then i can move onto a brand new rear diff in suzuki crate ive got waitin in my garage and i wanna sort some bumpers out that i never got round to doing.
Does anyone know where i can get a cheap rear disc conversion kit?

Re: Scottie's Zuke
It's a cut down vitara transfer box with just the high/low gears in so that I can put a 1.6 vit engine & gearbox in my SJ, then the sj transfer box bolts onto the vit transfer box and ends up looking like this
It means I get a lot of different ratios, the lowest being 4:1 however if I then use a rocklobster as well I get close to 8:1 low
All i'm going to say is that it wasn't cheap!

Front end removed ready to fit 1.6 and to cut the bulkhead back for more tyre clearance.

Re: Scottie's Zuke
Right guys and gals it's been a while so here's a little update!
now with an ally roof!
and a soft top back!
Started the bulkhead just need to pick up some angle to strengthen it up!
and chop goes the rear arches with a bit of help from mr Angry
tacked up!
Some shoddy welding! was having a few probs as the steel i'm using is 2.4 and the suzuki is thin as tin foil so i kept blowing holes than going back over on a lower setting to fill them in! (i'm still trying to perfect the art of welding )
And man there's been some serious filler work on my truck! paint can hide some nasty things!
Should have plenty of clearance for 33s me thinks!
and on to the front arches! removed battery tray & jack mount
Bulkhead cut back
no wonder the sills always rot where did all that mud come from??? it's over an inch thick all the way along!

Re: Scottie's Zuke
lookin really good mate. i wish i had even half the facilities you have there. my driveway just dont cut it.
just going out for hopefully one of the last bits of work on my mini and i cant wait to get back on with the anus.
been and looked at a few houses with garages and big drives over the past few weeks but the are all about 10k outside my budget. hopefully one will come up soon that is a bit cheaper and i can really get things moving with the house and anus situation.
well annoying having over 10k sat there for a deposit and not being able to spend it on fun!

Re: Scottie's Zuke
I'm afraid i haven't used them yet however I have heard some very good reviews about them which is why ii bought them. they aren't as aggresive as grizzlys so probably won't be quite as good as them but they are supposed to be better than most M/Ts with a similar pattern.
I paid £330 delivered for a set of 4 tyres from Camskill.
