Ooooorrrrr find a new axle / casing.
Youll want a 413 only axle and not a samurai one or 410

Yeah it's been a bodge and a half. I wouldn't care but it's had some decent work done to it. Let down by shite stuff like this and wiring. Could be why the rear near side wheel hits the side step but the offside doesn't

If you can weld , this would also be a good option if you wanted
A little bit more width.

We can get new axle casings here, I bought a new front casing not so long ago... but they are about €300... + shipping

Ooh Defo interested in the sammy axels.
Had another issue today, ripped a brake hose clean off the back axle. Which was an issue as I was going down a hill when I noticed

Ohh dear, not good.
If your tyres catching on the rear then the axles shifted along the spring.
I assume your not but please tell me your not driving this on the road?

No luckily we were on a byway when it failed and it was on a trailer.

just found these which I'm going to try on the rear, 180mm longer than standard and i have a few female to female unions kicking about.
plus they aren't £70!

I hope the sj is all insured, MOT'd and Taxed while you are using it on byways.....they are still classed as roads so if it's not you will be treated the same as you would be driving on road with not Tax,test or insurance.
I have a set of 413 axle cases i don't really need if you wanted to just replace like for like for now.

oh yeah she is tax, tested and insured and I usually drive it around.
May have scored some sammy axles so fingers crossed I can solve my problem and upgrade at the same time.
