I wanted a small rear winch so the old petrol tank had to go.
I asked for a custom fuel cell.... Instead, I got a work of art.

These next pics are up to date as of this weekend at Zuwharrie
The almost unreachable transfer case stick is just begging fo an Sector 4 Offroad cable shift kit. The T case has the heavy duty front output shaft but the S4 Offroad overbuilt is just that, overbuilt and will eliminate another weak spot. Plus I know the owner as they're just down the road so hope to get a good deal on the kit. I've seen it in person several times.... The finish is superb.

I'll post some Zuwharrie pics else where but here's one of the front of the vehicle with its temporary limiting straps made of synthetic winch rope with the Smokey Mountains in the back ground

What better place to end than the rear.
All my rigs have a theme and this one will be no exception.
The number plate and "JP" treads mean this is going to be a Jurassic Park tribute vehicle.

I have some more pics of the underside on my camera that I have yet to download.
Still have some fine tuning to do before Gonzookin at Rausch Creek. The build spec for this was to cruise Rock Creek there and at the moment I have no doubts it will although I'm pretty sure it would have done so as it was before the conversion as I drove a couple of river beds in Portugal back in 2002 where the river bed boulders weren't that much smaller.
As I said this is a work in progress so I'm open to suggestions if anyone thinks we missed something than can be amended now.
Eg
I'm not happy having 1.5" spacers because the Subaru rear calipers hit the wheel rims despite their huge offset.
Has anyone tried the ZukParts Kit with the mitsubishi calipers ?
Don't really want Rover calipers as this is 'Murca and we don't do that unless it's the range type.
Anti Roll Bar: Any alternative options to Currie Anti-Rock ?

Impressive. Some A grade fabrication and welding gone into that.
Really like how you have kept the original shell and haven’t cut too much off.

Jordi, Thanks, the front is kind of a tribute to my favorite Suzuki, the LJ20 which we never got in the UK.
I got some final bits in readiness for Gonzookin.
I was experiencing too much side roll as the as the suspension on the uphill side wanted to unload so a roll bar was needed.
I had some crappy little ones from Jegs about 15 years ago but things have moved on since then.
Currie do loads but they're the only LJ's they cater for are the CJD brand.
Luckily I found TK1 Racing who do a really neat modular kit that they can easily tailor to your specific needs.
Love my personalized initial tyre treads
I'm not alone. A friend of mine has his initials DC on the sidewalls
Only on the rear as there's no room up front.

Thanks Tim. These Yanks don't do a bad job.
I took delivery of the LJC at Gonzookin 18. (I'm having really bad withdrawal symptoms. We need more Suzuki events over here.)
I've been driving it around town for the last month and the TK1 Racing antiroll bar in the rear has really done the trick limiting the roll on the road as well as not limiting it off road as the pics below hopefully show.....
This is on the man made "Comp Course" at Rausch Creek
Missing a wheel....
Oh no, there it is...
Yep, definitely there, stretching the 14" Limiting Strap
I'll load up some pics & possibly video of Gonzookin 18 in the events section
