I have now sold my volvo. Its a shame but the zuk comes first. Just a brief update really.

I've sent my fuel tank off for a refurb. I cut the fuel filler off the side of the car and am getting it welded straight onto the top of the tank and the old filler capped off.

Still waiting for supertrux to get the lift kit back in stock.

Will be ordering all of the steel on monday for bumpers and rollcage.

I've had word my fuel tank will be ready on saterday. I will post pics of it soon as.

Supertrux still havn't got the lift kit in stock so i've ordered the 3" kit from calmini. Should have that in two to three weeks.

Also acquired a 25lt jerry can as spare tank. Gona incorporate a lockable cage for that into the rear tray.

Just gotta wait for everything to be delivered then hopefully the build will come on in leaps and bounds.

Heres some piccys off the sills. These are with out a doubt the most heavy duty sills I have ever seen. They are made from 100mm x 50mm x 3mm section, two lengths welded together so it has a 6mm internal wall. I'm hoping these are gonna be pretty much indestructable. Superb jacking points and have a nice 1/2 inch lip sticking out.

Just gotta give them a quick whizz over with the grinder. Maybe some more weld, possibly a bit of filler just to neaten it up.

As I changed the plan from a pickup to a tray back I have now started to weld up the back of the cab to some kind of standard. The welding is functional if nothing else. I personally don't think the pictures do it justice. Just think large sea gull with the runs.

As the door is not full width I've used the original back corners, cut em' to size and gently persuaded the side panel with a hammer to get some form of curve.
