Finding conflicting info about
So is a 413 3.73 to 1
and a sammi 3.91 to 1

Top of page reads 413 = 3.93 to 1
Sammi = 3.727 to 1
I've also read the same elsewhere. So what are they.
Also I found a spanish list on a couple of other sites and tidied it up (in english)
If it's wrong, let me know and I'll alter it (or scrap it )

I've corrected the original ratios it should be 3.909 (3.91):1 not 3.93:1

From what I've always thought in this country the early 413s were the 3.909 ratio and all samurais were 3.727 (3.73):1

However that is not to say it is the same for all countries! There are many differences between SJ models over the years in different markets and things were changed at different times. Hence the various different ratios on the Spanish list, I'm pretty certain we've never had a 3.4:1 ratio diff in this country.

Where is that first chart from Darrell? I think its wrong.

Looks like a misprint Darrell, can happen,

I don't know about Suzuki but i have a lot of old Ford technical specs which are full of mistakes! :)

As far as I know

SJ413 is 3.9 ratio

Samurai is 3.7

I think the problem is the confusion between SJ and Samurai, a lot of people refer to Samurais as SJ's and believe them to be the same.

I call mine Sj's despite most of them actually being Samurais :D

Even a lot of the dealers seem to be confused, a lot of registration documents seem to have the wrong names on them! :hahaha:

But every Samurai i have or have broken/looked at/heard of has 3.7 ratio diffs

The older (proper) SJ413's have 3.9 ratio
