Re: filling gearbox oil
I can't remember what it is on the 413/sammy gearbox, might be a 3/4" or 1/2" drive, might be a spanner?
either way I'm sure you'll have one and its quite easy to get too, you might need a small 1L bottle with the flexy end/nozzle thing to get the oil in there though if you havent got a pump.

i had 2 of them red bottles i took the gearlever off and put 2 litres into the gearbox. its not grinding so im assuming its ok. but my gearbox has always had this problem, shifting down from 2nd to 1st is very hard, sometimes 1st just isnt there.

Re: filling gearbox oil
ahy hitting the clutch twice very hard seems to do it, but the trick seems to get it into second, out and back into second then a quick shove up into 1st.
After a warm up its normally ok, is this caused by something round the selector?

Re: filling gearbox oil
No there wasnt, and you will have to double clutch to get it in, mine does it sometimes. Another trick i use with the tractors is make them work in the sticky gears. Big hill big weight, pleanty oh thomas!
Re: filling gearbox oil
