No I don't have a multimeter, but I've been meaning to get one. I know the electrics are easy, I've had to rewire the rear lights enough times, for last years MOT I rewired them and then got it MOT'd 5 mins later as they stopped working again in an hour. They now work fine after many attempts, but when I come across an electrical problem I can never seem to figure it out.

Definitely get a multimeter it should help a lot... they are handy for checking connectivity as well, you can make up some extension leads for them to doing circuit testing
