I don't think you even need to take the wheel or the caliper off to change the pads and felt.
Easiest with a flexy head 12mm spanner!

but if im doing the drive shaft oil seals, king pin bearings and the felts n rubbers.... and removing the stupid brake disc housing. then its worth taking it all apart.ScottieJ wrote:And to take off the knuckle, I don't bother taking the hub off, just undo the 4 bolts behind the disc that hold the stub axle on, saves some time that way.
and so. it looks asif i can crack on.ScottieJ wrote:Those 4 bolts that hold the stub axle on hold the disc cover on, i mean you can get to them without bothering to remove the hub and wheel bearings from the stub axle as a lot of people strip the whole assembly down to remove the stub axle when you don't need to. Don't forget to remove the circlip from the end of the halfshaft first though
go on then get on with itRuss24 wrote:and so. it looks asif i can crack on.ScottieJ wrote:Those 4 bolts that hold the stub axle on hold the disc cover on, i mean you can get to them without bothering to remove the hub and wheel bearings from the stub axle as a lot of people strip the whole assembly down to remove the stub axle when you don't need to.
