Its the same whether its a 1.3 or a 1.6 just an extra bolt on the pulley. Too used to working on the 1.6's now :oops:

A gentle love tap wont do the pulley any harm.

shouldn't be hard at all to get it off though

Give it a gentle tap working around it and it should come off.

DO NOT ever remove the big bolt on the crank of a 1.3 or 1.6 unless you are rebuilding the engine, there is no need and if you don't get it tight enough again there's a chance of wrecking the keyway if it comes loose.

Could always do what some one did on my old engine, cut the timing cover either side of the pulley so you dont have to take it off

cheers for all ur comments and help got it sorted now cheers lads it wa just stuck like shit to a blanket dont think it had ever been off

Be very careful of the metal gasket at the bottom of the water pump, I sliced my finger open scraping off old gasket on it. It's nasty.

Digging up old post hahahahaha

Now because of where this water pump is I don’t want to be in there again any time soon

Brands of water pump some are as low as £25 and others £40+

All as good as one another ?

Any favourites that you use a link would be fab.
