quick update of parts that don't fit.. I bought a new rear nearside wheel cylinder and the pistons don't go in far enough so the drum doesn't fit as the shoes don't push in far enough so that's another part wrong from eBay...

Hi
Similar one from a motor factors for my Grand Vitara. Rear wheel bearing kit from Quinton Hazell (QH) doesn't come with the retaining ring that you have to cut off to remove the old bearing. They don't sell it on its own and Suzuki wanted £28.00 for it and had to order it, took it back to shop refund, then got what I wanted off Ebay

ive been ok with ebay so far in my life, but i am just starting to have this problem
so far i have had three parts in a row that were wrong, mind you two of them were for a peugeot 304 but ive just done the same with the suzuki radiator cap. its very annoying, but im always swayed to go the ebay route because it is all very cheap. did you manage to get a small radiator cap? cant find any small caps for the 410 so is it possible my rad is from a 413?

The problem is the SJ series was being built for over 10 years and in two different countries so there's a lot of parts that have been changed over the years, unless they go off the VIN or numberplate then chances are you'll get the wrong bit.
Your best options are always motor factors or a main dealer, yeah you might pay a bit more but at least if it's the wrong part you can easily return it and get the correct one.

just had a look, the small rad cap is frc103 (Firstline).
the firstline website actually list the frc65 for my santana but its not the right one.
as scotty said, the problem is the cars were made in different places and at different times so stuff does usually end up all over the place, its quite common with most makes of cars tbh.
i work in a motor factors and its just standard. french and german stuff can be a nightmare.
you're no doubt sorted now, but just for future reference.
i can always have a look at parts when needed

Not forgetting that people might have also swapped bits over from other SJs.
A good example of this was that Charger was looking for a condenser for his SJ413, his local motor factors told him they couldn't get one as it wasn't listed.
That's because SJ413s never had a condenser or points! A previous owner has fitted the dizzy from a 410 into his 413.
