ive used add a leafs for a while and think they are alright. they are stiff but then again the are £300 cheaper than most new leaf spring sets out there. its all to do with how much you want to spend. shock wise i didnt like the astra shocks but that was with standard springs.

I personally can't stand add-a-leafs, never seen them fitted with any actual decent results, it's always been stiff and never flexed as well as stock without the original leafs bending around the ends of the add-a-leafs. I know there are people that are happy with them but I wouldn't put a set near any suzuki myself.

Rears up front and bedford rascal rears will give you the same lift, a softer ride and flex better.

Also remember there are both oil and gas astra shocks available. The gas are firmer than the oil ones and they only work well if properly fitted and not angled in with an adapter bar and set up so they don't bottom out.
I wouldn't class them as an upgrade either, just a similar spec replacement with more travel.

id like to know a bit more about putting the rear springs on the front and rascal rears on the rear on my sj..

im guessing i would need longer U bolts as the rascal springs look thicker...
