Have you looked at the bottoms of the doors? Mine were rotted out into fist sized holes when I first picked mine up.

Looks like a typical rusty sj! All the usual places anyway! It's actually really easy to pull the body off these if you did decide to go straight into a resto. You are going to want to remove the dash to clean the bulkhead vent, you're heater matrix is going to be full to the brim with crap! My dads sj was the same!

I've never removed the fuel tank to repair the filler neck area, I always just remove the filler pipe and plug the fuel tank filler hole

I would personally just find a good second hand bumper, shouldn't be too hard as most people fit heavy duty ones for offroading.

looks just like my sj. rotted footwells are common. is there any rust under the battery support?
