Well my temp bodge to keep the manifold warmer seems to have worked. Drove fine to work this morning thankfully.

I'm gonna have to five this whole hot air feed some thought. I planning a snorkel possibly something similar to scotties temp fix. Maybe run my snorkel pipe along behind the top of the radiator and over the exhaust manifold then out the passenger side. Try and warm the air as its sucked in. Just means it'll be a helluva long draw.

For the amount of extreme cold weather we have it's not a major issue. Never had any problems any other years. When i dismantle it to do the swap i'm going to check for condensation in the intake and change the fuel lines too.

I fitted rubber fuel lines and over time its gone solid and brittle. May have to swap to a braided pipe.

Still pretty sure I'm gunna try this on mine at some point.

Maybe coil inside the filter instead to heat more air as it passes up towards the carb it will be forced over more of the coil.

If I did that I'd bypass it in the summer, no need warming up the intake temps when it's not needed

I'm not running the standard air box. May swap back to it tho. That looks like a nice tidy solution.
