changing kingpin bearings & oil seals

If the play is more lateral than vertical and causing steering wobble I would be more inclined to start looking at other components of the steering system before kingpins.

Thanks Dan, I was under the impression that as my knuckles are leaking oil (from the half shaft oil seal) that this was a sign of kingpin bearing being worn? I was surprised when I moved the wheel up and down that there was limited movement, I expected it to be worse with the state of the oil on the knuckles?
