Would be great if u can link me to it, the shell is ruff. I think the shell weighs more than the chsssis so im planning on chopping atleast 50kg off. The axels weigh loads also so if I can get rid of the front axle that would loose a fair bit

So are you just gonna bang the 3.5 in it?

Sounds like a mad idea. Shame its not a LWB. I think a bit of extra length would handle the power better and look better.

I'm with dan on the suspension. Spacer blocks, hard shocks and a certain amount of movement before it hits the stops.

don't put a rover in it :vomit:

If you flip the springs, It's best to take the pack apart and only flip the main leaf with, should lower it about 2"

I don't know, the V8 can be a good engine if it's looked after. Not desperately heavy for its size either. Not saying it's light, but you get the idea.

On the topic of engines, any of you guys come across an F10D before? I know the 410s have an F10A. Supposedly the F10D has virtually the same block but is fitted with MPFI and pumps an extra 20 brake. Might be an interesting and relatively easy conversion for a 410 but I don't know if you'd find one in the UK as by the sound of it they were only fitted in Indian Wagon Rs.

I'm not saying its a bad engine, just the effort it will take to physically get it the engine bay makes it a pain in the arse, you'll have to run a rear rad and its not exactly a powerful engine for its capacity without spending a lot on it.

They do sound good with a nice exhaust on them though

Unless you mount it further back in the car and modify the bulkhead? Then the rad could be at the front.

Other than its a rover lump and associated with bland rover its a damn good engine. The SD1 engine is a better lump though as it's higher compression.

Unless you got the engine mega cheap. Id go 1.6 16v or a gv vit lump.

I think the v8 is a bit of beast to squeeze in the sj chassis. And I wouldn't have thought you'd
Get the car very low as the sump would get in the way.
