Thing is one's a 410 and one is a 413 so not all parts swap over I think it would be best to Decide which one you actually want to keep, then sell the other one for a realistic price and the Audi. Then you'll have plenty of money to buy some tools and parts to sort it all out while learning new skills in the process, theres all the info and service manuals available on this website so you should be able to learn how to fix anything, just have a go! If you get stuck then ask a question and people will help as long as it seems like you are acknowledging what they say

Another stupid question i have never even used a proper drill before into metal but if i do drill to put new seats in would it leave a thread ?

When you drill into metal it just leaves a smooth bore hole.

Depending on how thick the metal is you can "tap" it out with a tap and die set for threading bar and holes. As the floor and seat brackets aren't very thick steel the easiet and safest way to mount the seats is to drill the holes out and bolt through with decent washers on both sides and put a nut on.

Obviously if its through the floor, grab a mate again to hold the spanner inside, while you lie in the crud underneath to tighten it up.

oille, seriously dude what id do personally is get it all up together mechanically and mot wise etc. then id drive it around for a while until you decide what mods would best suit what you are gonna be using it for. for example daily drive with a bit of off roading when you can or maybe you wanna use it as an off road monster!

the point is get it to a standard first then you'll have a good base to start with. that way when you start adding the mods you wont have to do much else if you get me. plus it'll get you used to how sj's work and make problem solving easier.

when I first started doing mechanical I didn't know much, but you soon pick it up when you get crackin. trust me dude it'll be the best thing you'll do! :thumbup
