I'll be honest, I like it, I like beetles in general so extra rusty is a bonus, could you just Clear laquer the lot? The interior may need some work though!

:doublethumbs: cheers

Basic run down of the plan for it is.

Strip down clean and paint the floor pan.

Remove all suspension etc for sand blasting and powder coating

Re-cover (or new) seats and sort out the interior so it's mint, apart from the rusty steering wheel

clean up the inside of the arches, primer and underseal

Buy and fit a 1600cc with a single Weber or Nikki, chrome dress up kit for it.

Matt lacquer the exterior as it is, no numbers, some chrome trim

Roofrack for my bike

Sort out for MOT, it has actually got brand new (10 year old) shocks and brakes on it, also got some brand new door windows.

Enjoy as a rat for a few years like that and then spend a small fortune on some nice paint :brows:

I won't lie though ED for a moment I did think about a full on volksrod, with a roof chop :smokin:
This is one my mate did without a roof chop

Don't forget the LJ and the 2ltr swap.

I think he's taking a bit of time off Suzuki spanners for a bit Ollie. The VeeDub is something a bit different for now.

So long as your SJ is fit for the Wilts weekend and Wagtail Scott!
