it works fine, I web out an started it this morning and at 2pm when I finished work, no problems at all, one of the best things I've fitted to the zuk.. I will post the link on here when I get on my laptop, Scottie it is definitely wired to negative on the coil, the positive is switched by the ignition,

my plan now is to keep the revs down as low as possible so it's not screaming all the time..

I'm confused? So has the running issue just disappeared then? or did you change something? I only asked if you had 100% wired it up correctly because you said it was struggling to start after fitting the gauge.

To be honest I fitted a rev counter and never even look at it, quite easy to tell if your revving it too hard by the sound of the engine  Usually concentrating on driving too much to look to see what rpm I am doing when off roading

Just keep going until you hear the valves start hitting the bonnet ;)

it's fine now, was just a one off random thing to happen, think maybe it could be the heat? could really hot weather cause something like that?

anyhow it's all fine now, not likening the fact the engine revs at 4000 rpm in 4th gear at 40mph, really want to get my revs down, Scottie is sorting me a 5 speed gearbox out for me, which is great and can't wait to get it fitted, that should help a little but want to bring the revs down more, a few of you on her said to fit 413 axles and samurai diffs, would vitara diffs fit in SJ413 axles? or would I need to strip the vit diffs and fit the internals into the samurai or 413 casings?

basically I want to bring my revs down as much as possible, without making it so that it stalls when pulling away, I know SJ410 engines are high revving engines but if I can bring the revs down then the engine will last longer cause then I'm not revving the bo**ocks off it lol..
