ollie, id deffo invest in some tools dude, even if its just a starter kit to get you going! then you can build up as and when you need em.

some of the best mechanics I've known are self taught :thumbup:

New tools sorted got a decent socket set now and a 2 ton jack today how did you put your number plate on rivet ?? Angle grinder next got to save some money to flip some more cars keep the cash coming in.

Mine is purely siliconed on, but absolutely covered before sticking it down. Either get some self tappers, or just drill all the way through and bolt it on.

you can either use the double sided tape or drill a couple of holes and use some self tappers mate. id me more inclined with self tappers, as when that double sided tape gets covered in mud etc its not the strongest

I got a sticker and stuck it on a strip of magnet, as soon as I go offroading I chuck I in the back, and when the old bill didn't like it under my wipers last month I whipped it off and chucked it on the front, mot guy said its fine under wipers so mines back up there

Oh...It may have been because he knew its removable then, what's our resident mot tester (Scottie's old mans) view on it?

He's an asshole then! :lol: doesn't say anything in the MOT book about 'where' on the front it needs to be. Next time tell him to go read his MOT manual and show you where it says it has to be on the bumper/grill ;)

Method of inspection
1. Check that there is a registration plate both at the front and the rear of the vehicle, and check each one for condition and security.

Reason for rejection
1. A registration plate;
a. missing
b. so insecure that it is likely to fall off
c. letter or figure missing or incomplete
d. Faded, dirty, deteriorated or obscured, (for example by a towbar so that it is likely to be misread or is not easily legible to a person standing approximately 20 metres to the front/rear of the vehicle.
