i have a wierd squilling noise from the rear axle

Starts at the flywheel, ends at the hubs, any problems along them lines, ask your questions here.

If a UJ does go pop you can always put it in 4WD and drive home in 2WD if you get my drift...that happened to me once. Was in front wheel drive only but it lasted ages before I got a new UJ.
If it ticks over...leave it

Problem was the stereo was at full and I could still hear it squealing ;)

Probably a dry UJ, take the prop off and investigate, most likely will be the axle end. I've got this at the moment too, i'm waiting for it to explode :hahaha:

Hence my wanted add for a new prop as there's not much point replacing a UJ on a crap propshaft.

Just looked and there is a little bit of play nothing much

Sprayed it with wd40 and it still is making the noise

I will take prop of when I finish college and investigate it I.might have a spare rear prop I will pop on

there could be no play at all but it could be dry and stiff. wd40 will not make any difference, UJs need grease.

Ok I.will fill it with grease and go from there

Before I.sprayed with wd 40 the end of the prop looks oily I thought it was the pinion seal from the diff but the diff oil hasn't dropped so the grease has leakedout and become dry

This is a pic before I sprayed wd40 on.it so it must of leaked out as you can seethe grease has sprayed every where underneath
