If you want it reasonably decent but can't spray it
Flat it back with and give it a good few coats with the mix quite thin
Flat that back with 1500 wet and dry (soak the paper in
Water and fairy for around 20 mins beforehand) then cutting compound
It. Or you could lacquer onto the flatted off red.
Look up rustolem paint jobs for some ideas and tips

Yea you can do. The smoother the paint the easier the flatting.
Just give a section a try before doing the whole anus.
Youd be supprised what can be polished up with some effort.
Slightly different but this was sprayed in my workshop
And the laquer resembled something similar to bubble wrap
With dead bugs and dust in it. I thought it was a redo job
But a friend of the owner flattened and polished it up lovely

I know a lot of people use rollers but you can get amazing finishes with rattle cans, but it's all in the prep work! Get the body work clean and smooth and you should have no problems.

This is true. Ive had some great results with rattle can paint. Again its
All in the prep and being patient.
Im learning to paint carbon fibre at the moment. Its a pain in the arse.
Very very difficult material to work with.

I've seen plasti dip which I might get some black to try in my wheels cause if I don't like it a can always peel it off
I'll have a go at getting the body painted when it starts to warm up again, I've got a 5l tin of red paint so I'll get it rollered and brushed and see if I can get a smooth finish

My Sj is an offroader, couldn't really care less about the paint finish as it gets scratched and dented on a regular basis,
I just touch it up with a brush nowadays
Also it does depend on what type of paint you use, the synthetic paint that mine is painted with actually comes out very smooth when applied with a brush.
