Right an update!

I have just been given (free of charge  )a SJ413 Engine off someone who has just swapped his engine for a vitara lump, it only has 40k on it and is as sweet as they come, it has no gearbox or rad but I think I can pick them up cheap enough.

I have just serviced the 410 (typical!) So is it worth doing the swap, or keeping the 410 unit in and getting rid of the 413 or swaping the 410 for the 413?

I know I will have to sort out the engine mounts but I think there is not a lot else to it? I have a 5 speed box in my 410 at the moment and would love to keep that and the t box. You thoughts and advice please

Richard

Hi mate

just PMd you i've been a bit busy this week!

right to put a 413 lump in you will also need a 413 or sammy gearbox & clutch as the bell housings are different.

was just sat at work thinking about this a TBH i think it's best to saty witht the 970cc lump as a lot of people (me included) think they are the better engine of the two! yeah the 1300 has about 14 more BHP but the 970 is a lot more rev happy and smoother than the 1300! lets just say that i have never been left behind by a 413 on the road that was even with standard gearing and 31s!
