Too much damp to do anything to paint.

Cut the dash up today to get gauge plate in.

The top two allen bolts go through the surround into the original dash holes so it can be removed as one and the other 4 just hold the plate to the surround.

Just needs a row of waterproof toggle switches.

Front clip and bonnet are in primer in my Dads garage.

Not long now!!

Things left to do are

- Top coat and fit those 2.
- Rear axle brake line and full bleed (still cant decide whether to buy tool or get one made)
- Finish Bumper
- King pin bearings
- A lot of other random odds and sods

Cant wait

Still going to be weeks until its done with all the random bits and the Golf is going for its MOT on Saturday.

Good weekend of cutting, welding, cycling, and BBQ's

Got the bumper pretty much sorted and made a massively over engineered passenger seat mount.

Bumper just needs 2 boxes welding in to house the drivers tail light and fog light then all stitching up to the brackets.

Here's the photos.

Brackets all made up

and fitted to anus

The bumper sat in place to check it looks all good. (Bottom and ends will all be capped off)

Then got on with the passenger seat mount

You can't really tell from the photos but its all tapering inwards to the narrower width of the seat. (took bloody ages!)

The glory shots

Just need to give them a lick of paint

Not much progress. Been too busy riding my bike in the recent nice weather and extended daylight.

Got the boxes to house the rear lights welded into the bumper and am now thinking I should add a reverse light in the same position the fog is on the passenger side. Mainly for asthetic reasons.

What do you guys think?
