Yeah he said they are all good apart from a wheel bearing.
I will grab his number and PM you. You may have to haggle as I think he may want £250 min.
If you have a kent cam for a zook lying around it would be an invaluable bargaining chip as he really wants one ;)

TBH £250 is an extortionate price!

Can pick up a set of axles for £80-100 and its not hard to make some spoa perches or expensive to buy them, you will most likely damage them in some way cutting them off and moving them so it would be best to start from scratch.

Would even work out cheaper getting spoa perches from the US http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... -pads.html

yeh. i cant find a pair tho and my insurance is running out soon. so i wanna get it done asap while we have the good weather. the main issue is that the diff on mine has gone. and i cant find any rear 413 diffs. so i thought as theres more samurai bits about, why not get the wider axles and the spoa while im at it. if you know anyone with a set thats cheaper it would be a great help. but i do see what you mean. if im cutting of the perches anyway then why not get some standards.

The axles were fully rebuilt with the knuckle kits from Australia, new kingpins and wheel bearings and seals all round. They have been carefully sanded down and repainted. Look like new axles!
Those are the pads that have been welded on, and shipped from the US.
Diffs are really good condition with no signs of ever leaking

Easily worth £250 by the time you've spend £100 on axles, £100+ on the rebuild, the time spent rebuilding and cleaning everything, and having the spoa perches sent over

But I agree you would probably damage them chopping them off so its not worth it

My point exactly....you could buy and rebuild a set of axles for £250. Second hand is second hand so they aren't worth the "new" value

Its not really second hand though as they haven't out of his workshop since they were rebuilt a few months ago... which is why he wants decent money for them. and he probably wouldn't be selling them if someone other than me asked for them haha

i'd say its worth paying what it cost to not have the hassle of rebuilding an axle yourself
its not hard really but you know what i mean

He was going to build a sammy but is going for a 413 instead now... so is rebuilding a different set
He will probably just keep them and they will end up on one of his samurais

Not much point in selling something you will definitely use for less than its worth

I'm confused you said one needed a new wheel bearing, then said they had all new bearings? Therefore it sounded like they had been used since the rebuild.

Either way if it was me I would still rather rebuild them myself.

Shaw you can always just get a pair of samurai diffs an throw them in your axles for the time being.

The wheel bearing is fine its just not in the axle.
When he got the 413, he packed the axles and some other sammy stuff away at the back of his workshop with the hub assembly in a box
But he would put it together to sell it

Probably part of the reason why he doesn't want to sell it that much
