Well that's pretty much exactly what I wanna use it for. Have had it up on a ramp today and had a good old poke around underneath and I was really rather impressed with how good it is under there. Only had 3 patches of rust and they are behind the front seats on the floorpan. I will hopefully get these cut out and some fresh metal welded in next weekend. Just gotta get some gas for me welder. I've also removed the carpet as it stank to high heaven and was gopping to say the least so that had to go. I've also taken the spare off the back as it was rattling around. I was planning to do more today buh I'm proppa hanging out so it's been a slow day. :-)

Knocked this little treat up at one of the workshops on base, it came out pretty well for a first attempt and just needs a hasp and clasp and a cup holder for the front and it's done. Have also picked up some mild Steel sheet, so just need so gas for the MIG and the rust holes will be getting the chop.

Yeah I like how it came out, I'm thinking the that the back of it is a perfect place for the CB radio to go and who doesn't need a decent cup holder! Lol I'll get some better pics once it's all finished.

Hmmm, I wonder if I could make something similar for my SJ... Not as much room, though...

It's definitely worth the effort. I've not had an sj so don't know how tight it is, i started with a cardboard mock up and used it as a template. Helped iron out the kinks but I still managed to go through a sheet of Ali!! Luckily I wasn't paying for it! Lol
Been out for my first bit of greenlaning in it this afternoon, was very much impressed with how well it handled it's self. And it now has a name to she will go by the name "the whistler" due to a head wind and a motorway and the soft top whistling!

Hello fellas time for an update,
Well not done a massive amount since my last post. The vit slid through its MOT with only a couple of advisorys and the only one that was a shock was the corroded front flexible brake lines. I'll be sorting them on in due time aswell and new shoes at the rear and replace a leaky cylinder.
The bodge on the exhaust I did forbtge MOT didn't last long so I'll be doing a permanent repair soon.
On that note does anyone know if and where you can buy replacement bleed nipples for the front calipers? The current ones are a mess and need going.
Also does anyone have any experience with the LED light bars on eBay? Looking at the 24 and 32 inch ones but don't wanna spank £50 to £70 plus on duff lights

You should be able to get the bleed nipples at any decent motor factors... have they all been undone now?
