When this sells I'll make a very nice profit.

Re: The some dosh Mini revamp
All the bodywork is done, I removed the centre console as it looked a bit battered and used some spare carpet to trim it with, also made an MDF plate to fit under the stereo slot as things just slide under there and vanish lol. I need to find something circular to fit around the nearside heater pipe to tidy that part up. Carpet was missing from the seat mounts so I cut some to size and that is on too.
Grille next and put in the boot carpet and new washer bottle (when they arrive) and that's it. Job done. Nice quick and easy,

Re: The some dosh Mini revamp
Pretty much finished now, just waiting for the boot carpet and tomorrow I'll fit some matching spotlights and job's done. There is a classic car show sunday so she goes to that with a 'for sale' sign on and I'll see what happens. If nothing then it's Ebay time.
There were NO bolts holding the seats in place, and on inspection no holes in the floor pan for any seats to be mounted...suggests to me either a new floor has gone in or new metal and recently but there is no sign of any work done. Odd. So it took 14 bolts on each side to mount it...yes, 14. Then I had a swearing contest (I won) as I tried to fit the gutter strip. Used an old 350LC exhaust gasket to blank off where the heater hose goes. The bottom door mounts are for another car, not a Mini, even though they came from...yes...Minispeed. The glovebox had no box so the dash came half out and now it has one. Speaker grills are in place and the grille has been repainted and is on. Fire extinguisher in too. I think she looks rather good now. Fingers xxd for sunday!

Funky, always liked the old minis, my dad had a green pickup version, was very cool.
Cheers

Re: The some dosh Mini revamp
She's now on Ebay. After 30 mins I get an email (at 9.30pm) saying can I come and buy it now. No, you can't it's late and I'm going to have a bath. What's your offer? Message comes back...£900. What a fucking twat.
