The earth on my fuel stop solenoid broke one morning, unfortunately it was the morning I was driving it to the ferry to go to France, I left my house and everytime I stopped the SJ cut out, it would drive as long.as I kept the revs up  I kept driving thinking shit I don't want to miss out on my holiday  I found the problem in the queue for the ferry, so glad it was a simple fix!

Ill try all these things and when I get time and report back ;)

Im running a Weber on it so not sure if it has a fuel cut solenoid? I cant see any wiring going to the carb unless its hidden up somewhere.
It wouldnt have anything to do with the ICV (i think?) that screws into the inlet manifold would it? I sometimes have to clear it out as the ball can get stuck but this usually makes it idle high and not drop down

On the webber carb their is a diaphragm

http://www.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/pdfs/webe ... manual.pdf

part 31 fourth picture down

if this part has a hole in it it can cause some of the problems you are having

Ok I'll check that next, its doing my head in :( tried fiddling with the wires to the coil and it seemed slightly better and would idle a little higher but still had an intermittent rough spot and it would sort of bounce the revs down but catch it MOST times but not always

there was a trick my old man told me when my coil went down, he used a wire straight from the positive on the battery to the coil. cant remember where on the coil tho thats the problem, ill ask him later..

but maybe the coil has packed up after the mud and water. mine died when the weather was very wet.

one thing i will say is try and avoid intermotor parts as i used to get constant trouble from them. blue print are pretty cool tho (work in a motor factor)

I've checked the weber diaphragm and its fine.

I'm thinking it may be the coil too, may just get one and try it along with some leads and go from there. Will keep you updated :)

Where is the best place to get a coil? What differences are there between 410 and 413 coils? Also with mine being a k plate samurai I guess it was originally injection? But isn't any more. All the coils on eBay are listed as 410 ones or they are the later square type ones which mine isn't...
