Well as I was lazy I slackend off the main starter motor bolts shuved in the airline blasted have of sussex mud out of of ot few squirts of brake n clutch cleaner another blast of the airline and bolted back together and boom shes a runner :D

Well it lasted about 30 secs now removed the starter and going to strip it down so now I need to get a guide :)

had the same problem with mine a while back quick strip down a clean mended the problem

So cleaned and stripped today and bench tested all working fine now Its making the same noise again not even turning the engine over :pissed:

Have you got a clicky starter fix in there? Mine did this last year and it was the relay that had gone
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Pretty sure I dont as I rewired most of my truck last year. All I have is the main wire from battery and the s post/ignition
