Tidy work matey. Surely you can weld a curved plate onto that last hole?

if you look closely, you will see the outer wing also has some bodged patches on it, so I have to redo the curvy bit with the dimple in the outer wing first, and then do the actual wheel arch itself, might just make a fibreglass wing for that side, not sure yet though!

had the panel beater around to have a look at the repairs, and he was all happy. reason I did that, is they can require you to get a repair certificate over here, if the inspector's aren't happy at the re-vinning process. if a certified panel beater has a record, we can skip the panel and weld testing, and write out a repair cert straight away. I'm going to try and sneak it through without one though, as they are $500! so I've started sanding down the body ready to paint it when the moisture levels are down again.
also did a perk job for a mate today, and he gave me 3 goodyear wrangler radials, and 1 goodyear wrangler gs/a tyre, all in 225/75r15, on a set of escudo rims! they are the same size as the 600/16 tyres it had on it, and now I have a set of 15 inch rims, which I had wanted for a while, so I'm chuffed with that!

brand new reproduction RH samurai wing turned up, ready to be fitted to save a lot of fabrication and welding. also got the new upholstery fabric ready to be sown up, so I will have some really nice seats again too!

Hadn't checked in on this build for a while. Looks like you are getting along nicely.
Keep it up and you will soon be done.
