Haha. No worrires mate! Glad you're happy with them.

I haven't had a proper read through your build, but have you had much thought on tyre size? When I bought the wellers you now have, I fitted a 31" to test and the sideways were seriously bulged, hence why I now have similar big offset wellers but 7j's. The 15x10s take 33"s very nicely.

I'm going 33 or preferably bigger. Depends how much space the YJ conversion gives. I've got Vit diffs to go in at the same time so need to get big enough tyres to get the gearing right.

Gave her the pre Wiltshire weekend once over this evening.

U-bolts stretched to the point it was getting quite a bit of axle wrap and another pair of rear wheel bearings dead.

Thank god its got the rear disc on it, makes life so much easier.

Good use of the workshop this morning. New bearings with a rubber seal both sides, stripped and re-packed with high grade sewage proof grease and re-fitted the seals.

Managed to heat the locking collars with oxy acetylene to remove them and they are easily strong enough to re-use judging by the force required to re-fit them even after a while on the inductive bearing heater.

Wonder how long this set will last...... another 2000 miles prehaps :hahaha:

Pop them back in tonight with new brake pads and shes ready for the weekend.

Top job Dan!

My bearings all seem ok. I'm hoping they last till i get £400 together for a full set of bearings all round and a full float.

Probably in fantasy land.
