Hi Matt,
You have not had much response because most owners improve their SJ's to their own requirements and many are bought to be used off-road. I have a 1992 Samurai which is nearly standard, except for Corbeau seats, but I will be changing them for more comfy seats in the future.
I have been steadily improving it by mainly getting everything to work properly but am not quite there yet. The exterior is standard but still needs attention to be prestine, however if you don't look too closely it looks ok. I attach a photo. I also have bought a removeable two piece hard top and use a lightweight fastback soft-top in the summer.
You can borrow my Suzuki for your shoots but I don't want to come to London, my suggestion would be to collect and return it on a trailer. I will not be disappointed if it is not up to your required standard, but if you can't find a better one at least you do have something to work with.
