Even bigger bummer is, I've got some and was planning to fit them!!

I may be wrong but
I belive its because the wheels cant be balanced with them on and because there a modification to a crucial part of a car

Well the existing wheels seem to be a mile out of balance, and just about every other "crucial" part of the Sammy will be modded soon, so why leave the wheels out?
They "could" look like pimped up boy racer wheels, the fake split rim type
So are split rims legal?

From what I've read it's to do with constructions and use regs, for one the original design of the wheel has been modified and the tyre is mounted in a way that it was not originally designed to be mounted. I.e. sandwiched between two plates rather than on a head and held on with air pressure.
Split rims are legal as long as they are 'E' marked I think.

Looks like to top weekend, GUTTED i couldnt come, but looking forward too being at the next one - whenever that shall be.
