im quite tempted to do one coming out from the side grill on the bonnet to make it a little less profile. the only thing I'm yet to figure out is the fitment around the battery

My plan is to move either the snorkel or battery to the passenger side (which ever is easier). Fit the snorkel down the window pillar and into the scuttle.
Flexi pipe onto the original air box and flexi pipe from that to the carb.
I would have done that this weekend but was short of all the right sized flexi pipes.

I think i'm gonna give the place that did my exhaust a ring. Be a bit more expensive than a complete DIY but i'd like a larger bore intake that i currently have.
As strange as it may sound, i hate the botched up look.

Cheers lads. Bit of a rush job to get it on for laning next weekend. Gonna put a bit more waterproofing on the coil and dizzy too.

It looks fine. Well on the photos anyway
Are you talking about having one just level with the scuttle, as that is pretty deep water. Plenty high enough for most.
Why not just have an intake inside the cab, as that isn't exposed to trees etc... or would it be too noisy and smelly?

We run the intake on the SJ from in the cab but i do a few more miles in this and they are pretty noisy.
I'm keeping it at roof height but would like it so it is just one pipe coming out of the scuttle up the window pillar. I've seen snorkels at scuttle height and always worry that a bit too much enthusiasm and a big bow wave will cover them.

Did i mention i may have broken the drivers door handle too? It just snapped.
Another one for the "to do" list. That door is scrap anyway.
