I haven't seen my SJ for about four years, I don't remember many details 
I do recall a single brown wire on what appeared to be an oversized connector somewhere round the coil.
Sod it, I Googled it, its the rev counter wire, thanks Darrell.

It looks like some kind of trim clip/rivet.
