surely a breather dosent need to be secure. it isnt exactly going to compromise safety if it comes off!

Right just been to see the garage.

They have 3 testers.

The owner of the garage = 20+ years of testing
An guy who has been testing for 15 years
And a guy (who did mine) Who has been testing for a year and a bit.

None of these where at the garage, so i spoke to the owners father. He has been testing since the mots where invented  We went round the truck looking at the fails the guy had put.. they included...

Rear calliper will catch on chasis rail..

Errrr no it wont. If the spring ever does hit the bump stop there will still be a good 3/4 of an inch of room before the calliper touches the chasis.

Breather pipes are un supported

The dont have to be supported. They are attached to the under side of the body then have a good amount of slack to allow for flexing. If they do ever come off, nothing is going to come out of the, and the pipe isnt going to rip the prop off.

Handbrake obstructed by the seats

It was left with the handbreak on, and the last guy to move it was the tester... So he can put it on and off freely then... Need i say more?

Front lights too far inbored

Not entirely sure on this one. They may or may not be. Depends on what the book says. From memory the father said he thought it was 12".

So there is going to be a change of tester come monday morning. If the lights pass then ill pick it up monday night

Hi Luke.

Ive got 31/0.5/15 on 7j wellers and 32mm spacers.

They stick out but extended arches will solve it.

Well admitidly its taken a while.. but it is now completely finished.

It went in for some small jobs to be done (mainly wiring).

There was then a problem with one of the rear callipers being knackered, i managed to get another one and then the other side decided to break on me

Luckily a friend of mine went to the breaker for me and got yet another Rover 600 calliper. With all that done, handbreak sorted it went for its mot and..

:D

3 Advisories..

1. Front and rear lights are moved but evenly spaced.

2. Drivers seat does not move on runners

3. All wheels/tyres protrude from arches.

So overall im pretty pleased. Once ive passed my test it will have to be insured for a short period so i can tax it.
