Hopefully get some workshop time tomorrow afternoon.

Cut some more out the other night and also started to strip the front axle as i wanted the case. I knew the CV joint had gone but didn't expect to find crushed ball bearings and the inside of the case to be badly scored (possibly scrap). So I need to give it all a clean.

The front discs seem almost new though so they will do for my rear brake conversion.

Better get cracking then. I've finished off a few bits on the shed and my lounge is ready for plastering. I'm looking forward to getting back on with my zook.

Finally got some more done!

All the major cutting is now finished, I think. Rear arches all cut out and shaped around the floor pan and seat belt housing, sills all squared up with straight edges.

Next things to sort is to clean off the paint where it's to be welded and starting cutting new panels to fit.

In a few areas there was some rust I never expected nothing major though.

Having a major think, while its all stripped do I replace the floor with new panelling?

Remove as much of the double skinned areas as possible? Few areas to trap mud and damp? I think this is a major cause of the seam behind the seats rotting out.

I would just en-tomb it from bottom and inside with some thicker metal and forget about that void.

That's an idea. Next job is a thorough clean with an abrasive pad, make sure I have got all the rot out.

I just want to start and put it back together, thinking about taking a week off in April. Hopefully that would ensure I get it done for May.

Well, supposed to be off next week to do this. Fingers crossed.

Gotta go collect my steel and welder gas yet.
