Samurai sump will bolt on but requires the 413 oil pick up fitting and modifying. It also holds less oil if i remember rightly. Its not a major job.
Most of us are running lift springs with extended bump stops to stop them hitting.

Ha ha, i'm a speed demon bud!
Mine will do 60 ok. Haven't had it on a decent road to see how fast it'll go. Not with an accurate speedo anyway.

Bonnet badge in the post tomorrow, let me know when it turns up.
If it ticks over...leave it
Re: Joes build. 416 samurai.
If your SU is set up for a 1.3 then you need a different spring and needle otherwise you will not see the full power potential. What did you set the timing to?
Re: Joes build. 416 samurai.
I didnt use my su carb because it has one of those rubish elbow adapters. So im using my niki at the moment, and I put it on the emmisions machine and set it so its burning eficiantly.
And I set the timing to 10o btdc.

Re: Joes build. 416 samurai.
Something is off somewhere then as mine will breeze past 50 running 33s
Re: Joes build. 416 samurai.
Yea, its a bit anoying as I expected lots from a one six:( managed to get it to 60 today but it didnt feel like it wanted to do much more. I imagine the niki carb should be good enough? And the standard 1.3 exhaust shouldt make that much difference should it?
