And a diff here and there.
Bit of a waste of my 2500 post!
Was hoping to make it a zinger.

The SJ transmission will take a lot more power than you guys seem to think, there's loads of people around the world running various tuned, turbo'd and supercharged engines on the stock transmission.
I don't know what the issue is I run 33s and don't have any problems with my SJ being too tall to fit in places

I was thinking more the UJs and shafts might not be up to 150+bhp

They easily are, the CVs are the main weak point but you'll be in 2wd on road anyway.
The main reasons for UJ failures on SJs are that people lift them too much running the UJs at high angles and/or fuck up the UJ angles when they go spoa or do other suspension mods like lift shackles etc. and also axle wrap from old crap rear springs
I'm about to run just under 130bhp with 33" tyres on standard propshafts

I think low and wide is the way forward

Low and not quite as wide would be a bit better, wouldn't mind loosing 3-4" in total width when I start trialling to help me squeeze through the gates but low with a flat belly is def better than loads of lift when it comes to stability.

Yeah thats a good point actually having a flat belly! I know my suzuki aint the smallest but my 31" catch allready
