As you look at the carb if it is the same as mine the bottom pipe that sticks out at 90* is fuel in. The top two sticking out at 45* are fuel over flow i think. The left one. And the larger right one is a breather.
I'll be corrected if i'm wrong but thats how mine is plumbed up.

At the moment i've got the breather and over flow capped off. Runs ok.

Yup. Blocked off. Did have a pipe running down the engine bay. I should really fit it as a propper fuel return to the tank.
What have you done with yours?
Cheers

Mines just left open, need to put some pipe on it really. With SUs if fuel comes out the overflow it normally means there's something wrong so you'll find that it will be very rare for fuel to actually come out of it, no point plumbing it back to the tank in my opinion.

Thats why it's blocked off. My main concern leaving it open was anything going into it. It runs fine so i haven't wanted to tamper with anything.

I have a feeling the HS SU carbs aren't as good with extreme angles as the HIF SU carbs. most people do run the HIF44s but you could always try the HS carb and see what it's like? I'm afraid that I haven't got a clue about the Jets and needles on HS carbs either.

Measure the bore. Should be 44mm.
Stick a photo up if you can too.
