if that surround is rotten into the bendy bit, just fibreglass it, it'll seal of the steel, so no more rotting, and it'll be the easiest way to shape how it's supposed to be. sand it, paint it, and you'll never tell it has been changed!

Been done and better done by previous owners. I have a good soft top windscreen to cut a repair panel out of, just making sure it all gets cut nice and square for when it gets welded in.
