Had this sat around for a while. Thought it might be useful to fit it.

Been a while since i updated this
.
Getting it ready for use after almost 3 years.
The sills are rotten!
Got some 1.6mm sheet folded into 100x100 angle, welded a 3rd side in to give me a triangular box section.
Cut the old inner and outer sills out and 10mm (ish) into the floor out.
Cut the new ones to size and shaped the ends. Welded in right along the bottom of the door, along the inner sill joint and floor edge.
Looks ok in the pics but my welding is what most know as MOT standard. Not the prettiest but it holds. Nothing a grinder and paint can’t make look pretty.

Some nice work! Much prefer the look of them to the box section ones on mine!

It had box section in it. Did the job for the last 15 years ish.
Ran out of welding gas the other day, put the grinder down an accidentally sliced through its own cable
.
So got this
Will try and repair the other one at some point and fit a new cable.
Carry on with it tomorrow.

Passenger side in, all primed up too.
Had it running today, started a treat once i had it charged and tapped the starter. All the lights and horn still work.
Paint it next weekend, do the back brakes and check the hubs are tight. MOT booked for the 26th.

Failed first MOT. Too loud, worn steering joint.
Added an extra silencer, tightened up the steering joint. MOTd today, good to go!
