Vitara rear bounce

I've got a vitara 1.6 n reg swb, it's get very bouncy on the rear end going over bumps, it only just passed the mot so I think the shocks should be ok, so just wondered if there was a quick and easy fix

If its kicking back over the bumps then its because of a lack of rebound damping, its typical of cheap shocks.

It could also depend on how thorough the MOT inspection was. The shocks might be shot.

Has it got a lift kit on it? If so the shocks could have very little travel.
