Bypassing heater

Hi there,

I'm looking to ditch the heater in my sj413, now my engine has been pulled apart a bit sometime ago so the plumbing is a little hit and miss.

I have assumed that the pipe that had the heater control valve pushed into it just need bypassing to the pipe that is at the very back of the water pump, as it's the only outlet left without a connection on thus giving a circulating system, is this correct?

Thanks in advance
Greg

Yes. Or you could bypass the heater control valve also and just connect the inlet manifold to the water rail on the back of the pump.

Unless your heater matrix leaks, why would you want to disconnect it?

Sorry should have said I'm putting a jago geep body on the sj chassis, the jago won't have a roof so no real point in having a heater really as it'll only get used on the 2 nice sunny days the uk gets!!
